A retrospective..............
THE WINDOW
A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.
The next morning while they are eating breakfast,
The young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside.
"That laundry is not very clean", she said.
"She doesn't know how to wash correctly.
Perhaps she needs better laundry soap."
Her husband looked on, but remained silent.
Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry,
The young woman would make the same comments.
About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a
Nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband:
"Look, she has learned how to wash correctly.
I wonder who taught her this."
The husband said, "I got up early this morning and
Cleaned our windows."
And so it is with life. What we see when watching others
Depends on the purity of the window through which we look
Friday, February 25, 2011:
It saddens me to be posting this:
Earlier this week, teammate and friend, Stephanie Martinez lost her mom. I barely got to know her more than "Stephanie's mom" and had only sat and spoken to her a handful of times. But in those few words her kindness and caring nature sang in leaps and bounds. As small as the gesture was, she helped me and Ace out without even knowing us. Our community has lost a beautiful woman and mother.
For any and all those interested, there will be a service held this Saturday, February 26, 2011, 1 pm at the Mount Cross Lutheran Church in Camarillo. Address is 102 Camino Esplendido, Camarillo 93012.

Tuesday, December 11, 2007:
Message for All Parents and Players:
On behalf of all the Coaches and the Administrators I would like to THANK YOU for supporting our program. It was a tough season; considering the improvements we've made, the losing record was not at all what any of us had expected. However, you can be rest assured that all the teams and coaches that we played in tournaments and in league have taken notice of our improvement. Every coach and a few opposing team parents have come up to me or one of our administrators at one time or another in disbelief of the quality and materialization of our program. The future looks bright.
I would also like to express our gratitude and appreciation for your efforts in helping us fundraise for tournaments and for new equipment. For those of you that attended the parent meeting at the beginning of the season you know that our budget from the school totals a whopping $1000. If you recall, all tournament registration costs $200 per tournament to enter. This year your support and monetary donations have allowed the Varsity, JV and Frosh/Soph, to participate in a total of SEVEN sanctioned local tournaments. We have also purchased much needed equipment (antenna’s, ball pump, game balls, score books, etc), first aid supplies (athletic tape, ice packs, etc.) and have created a great snack table (food donations, time and supervision) for our team earn more funds during our home matches! This snack table generated anywhere from $100 - $300 at each home game.
Once again, THANK YOU for your support!
In the last 2 days, I have received several phone calls from concerned parents regarding SIX at SIX and various other issues. I would like to now take the time to address a few of those questions accordingly. Please click here for the Question and Answer page.
Monday, November 12, 2007:
Happy Veterans Day! Hopefully you're all at home catching up on some sleep. This weekends BEACH CONDITIONING went well, click on the photo page to see pics. We had EIGHT out of THIRTY-NINE show up. For those of you that always wonder about playing time..FIVE of the attendees are Varsity starters that come to every open gym, clinic, function we have. Hmmm, is there a corrolation?
Our BANQUET is this Saturday, November 17, 2007 @ 2 pm. We are meeting in the small parking lot at ECR. I am planning something a little different this year, please be sure to be on time.
Tuesday, October 30, 2007:
Yes I am the bearer of bad news. I got the call from the seeding committee, Varsity did not make it into playoffs :-(. I guess 0-10 was too difficult to fight for. Girls don't let this discourage you, we're going to come out swinging next year. All the coaches in our league have noticed us and know how far we've come and where we are going.
Pictures this THURSDAY @ 2:30, come in uniform, bring your ORDER FORM and money.
Our first BEACH CONDITIONING session with Juwan Smith is scheduled for Saturday, November 10 @ 8:30 am. It is NOT mandatory. But please let me know if you are planning on attending the session. I will have the exact location posted by next week.
Saturday, October 27, 2007:
Hey JV! Way to end on a great note! Earl, the Varsity Girls and I couldn't be more proud of you! Way to figure it out.
And yes, again, the photographer had to cancel. I guess that's the price we pay for professional yet inexpensive photos. Sorry girls. He is scheduled to be here on Thursday, during 6th period.
BTW, just want to let you all know that the season MAY NOT be over just yet. The West Valley League coaches will be meeting tomorrow to sort out records and scores. The seeding committee will meet on Tuesday, October 30. We will have the official answer to our demise or our perpetuation first thing Wednesday morning. Keep your fingers crossed.
Our volleyball BANQUET is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, November 17. Beginning at 2pm. Details to follow.
Monday, October 22, 2007:

3. Copy of Insurance Card (w/ your name on it)
If you have not yet picked up the paperwork you may download it here. Again, let me remind you, this is not a guarantee that you've made the team. We can start practicing but you cannot participate until all that paperwork has been cleared by Mr. Yi.
Thursday, August 9, 2007:
Thankyou Mr. Delbick for holding the CPR Certification Class. Also, a thank you to the following girls for attending the class: Kaylee Hill, Olivia (Kaylee's friend), Makena (Kaylee's other friend), Sasha Palaez, Cassie Delacruz and Cameela Cruz.
For the CPR Certification Class, we will meet at Paul Delbick at his classroom, T33 @ 1 pm today.
Monday, August 6, 2007:
More information for today. Please get your physicals done ASAP!!! According to Athletic Director, Mr. Yi, you will be allowed to tryout but not allowed to practice until they are done. I would like to officially start workouts in 10 days.
I will be taking a CPR certification class with Mr. Delbick on Thursday @ 1pm on campus. If anyone is interested (parents included) please call Janelle (818.232.6021) immediately. Cost is $20 (this is REALLY inexpensive), It especially good for those of you that babysit. You can tell the parents that you are CPR certified.
Congratulations on a successful Volleyball Camp and Carwash!!! I hope you learned a lot from Professor Lu.
We broke the bank at the carwash again, we reached our goal and surpassed last years total!
Please note: I have added an additional OPEN GYM on Monday's at Mulholland MS from 6:30 pm - 9 pm.
Thursday, August 2, 2007:
It's the 4th day of Volleyball Camp with Professor Lu and the girls are learning and gaining a lot of volleyball knowledge by the minute! With 32 camp participants, we have a record number of girls participating this year. Last year we had 12. The best thing about this is that Professor Lu is generous enough to give back a percentage of what we pay, to our program and the more participants we have, the bigger the percentage. We are on our way to building a GREAT girls program. I want to thank each and every one of you for your dedication!
If the CARWASH information wasn't clear before, I am clarifying it now. Please show up at ECR in the small parking lot off of Valley Circle to help wash cars this SUNDAY, from 9 - 4 pm. We will begin washing at 10 am. As much of your time and help that you can give is needed. We will be selling snacks and refreshments to all waiting carwashees.
In order to expedite the student/athlete process, you have been given paperwork (physical, parent consent, etc.). These forms must be filled out and approved by the nurse and Athletic Director prior to the first match or you will not be allowed to play. However, it does NOT mean that you have made the team. I thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
